Meralco Theater

Theater has been my life for the past five years. I walk, talk and breathe theater now. I'm even closer to my theater friends than any other sets of friends that I have. I have been part of Ateneo's ENTABLADO for the past 5 years of that theater career. Yes, it is college theater, but I got most of my training from them. That is why it is my great honor to work for them as an alumna.

Last night was something that I will never forget. I got to perform in Meralco Theater. The stage was so big, you can't really put a face on each one of the audiences because there were many of them, the dressing rooms were exquisite, Jai and I had our own dressing rooms.

Malalamon ka ng stage kapag hindi mo ginalingan. Despite the excitement, there was always this fear of the stage swallowing me alive. I love the stage and the theater, but I'm scared that it will swallow me. Being a theater actress is a constant battle. Not with your co-actors...but with yourself. You always ask how can I be better? How can I do this character? How can I make it work? How can I act smoothly with my co-actors.

The theater always begins with oneself. It is then you will realize that from within, you can work with your co-actor and the whole ensemble.

Theater is an ensemble.:)
